i'm back. well, sort of. laptop situation took a turn for the worst recently and i still don't have the funds for a new one so sorry for the gaps! word up to spencer martin and a couple of days off work to give me chance to make a kurtcouture comeback.
it hasn't escaped my attention that grunge fashion is big biz these days. great? well yes and no. everywhere i turn it's like a sea of crucifixes and mcqueen inspired skullduggery. it's like fashion took an overdose of kurtcouture! but at the same time it's great to see the high street celebrate grungey vogue, so let us enjoy the moment of glory.
this week i am mostly inspired by the military. ok, so i can't see many members of our armed forces wearing MAC lipstick or barry m nail paint but the theme is still apparent!
i think the fact that war and military operations are such a daily global headache at the moment, it was inevitable that it would influence the vision of fashion this season. simple, comfy designs convey real military clothing but to make the look more feminine add oversized scarves, lots of jewellery, and ballet flats. this is a really easy look to pull off and you really can make it your own. team with combat boots for a tougher look if you wanna go the whole hog. am i getting through to you private?!!
