ladies night...

...so sometimes i blog about boys. but sometimes i blog about girls. today, i'm blogging about girls. but not ordinary girls. these girls won't do your dishes, these girls won't clean up your room, these girls won't do your laundry (beastie boys much?) but they will probably kick your ass into next week. i'm talking of the most memorable female characters in cinema, at least in my mind. memorable simply because they are sexy, violent and well  fucking cool.

was difficult narrowing the list down and these are in no particular order i'll have you know. but i think you'll agree i've chosen wisely. so here we have it...

imdb.com
ok now i'm aware that i have already dedicated a blog entry to this li'l lady before, but she's just so ridiculously and unbelievably cute that she deserves a second salute (oooh rhyming). she is of course none other than alabama wurley played by patricia arquette in the film 'true romance'. gorgeous and vulnerable who could forget the scene where she beats (and ultimately eliminates) the living crap out of james gandolfini - aka tony soprano - you go girl.

this is my laptop wallpaper. has been for 6 months. the flipping of the bird was just the icing on the cake for me. i....love...her...

hey there blondie what'cha doing with that big ol' dangerous looking table leg? oh you're gonna kill me dead with it? argggghhhhhhhhh!!! so anyways this lady needs no introductions. she's beautiful, she's nails and she's got some serious beef. a classic tale of revenge, uma thurman's character from kill bill would make any man quake in his cowboy boots, so guys, think twice next time you consider a wedding rehearsal massacre, you could end up one sorry sausage. pussy wagon......fucker.

don't let those baby blues fool ya, beatrix kiddo will be all over your ass like a nun sandwich. hot!

speaking of kill bill, my next candidate features on kiddo's death list. from mermaid to one-eyed babe, darryl hannah's 'take-no-prisoners' mega bitch character elle driver just had to make my list too. it was the nurses uniform that did it (hmmm...fancy dress party idea?)

yea...wouldn't mess with her, love. brave, sexy as fuck and visually impaired, elle driver, complete with samurai sword, is a force to be reckoned with.

next on my list of movie heroine's? well it wouldn't be a true list of cinema vixens without the lady who sets the standard for vicious beauty. step up angelina. i've actually chosen her character from girl interrupted though rather than something obvious like lara croft or mr and mrs smith. lisa rowe, totally insane (or totally sane depending on which way you look at society) has a very sexy quality about her. the scruffy clothes, the messy hair, the chain smoking. she's just cool as fuck. end of.

character: karen hill. movie: goodfellas. played by: lorraine brocco. quote: 'I know there are women, like my best friends, who would have gotten out of there the minute their boyfriend gave them a gun to hide. But I didn't. I gotta admit the truth. It turned me on' comments: say no more...

next up we have ginger rothstein from scorsese's ultra amaaaaaaazeeeeeen film casino. played by sharon stone i think it's quite obvious that i chose her for my list purely based on the fact that she looks absolutely bang-tidy in this role.

she's the gal you love to hate is ginger. she's such a bitch! lucky for her she's super sexy. i'm thinking of clamping her up in a vice in the basement, you know what i mean pals...

so who's next? gotta be............................................mallory knox. the legend that is. now a lot of people know i have a muhassive girl crush on juliette lewis. and it's so easy to see why if you've seen her in natural born killers! completely retarded but so sweet. not to mention psychotic and extremely dangerous. 'are you flirtin' with me?' dumb move guys, dumb move. perfection.

and last but not least we have elvira hancock. who? michelle pfeiffer's character in scarface. long-suffering wife to tony montana her character is only a minor role really, but what she delivers is indeed of major value. coke addiction aside, it's all...about...the dresses. oh my god the dresses. see for yourself...

want iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!! the hair too. and the super skinny look is also a winner (oh come on it's true)

so there you have it. i'm sure i'll think of more as soon as i enter this but hey ho, they'll be for a later date. cool women, cool clothes, cool violence. but that's just my opinion...x
